We are named Best Value Proposer
SR400 Peach Partners named Best Value Proposer by GDOT for the SR 400 Express Lanes MMIP Project.
SR400 Peach Partners, a three-party consortium between Acciona Concessions, ACS Infrastructure, and Meridiam, is pleased to announce it has been selected by the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) as the Best Value Proposer for the SR 400 Express Lanes Project. Heavy civil industry leaders Dragados and Acciona Construction have formed a joint venture to carry out the Project’s design and construction, while the consortium will set up a dedicated project company to self-perform long-term operations and maintenance over the 55 plus year contract term
The Project consists of the design, construction, finance, operations, and maintenance of a 16-mile-long corridor in the metro Atlanta region, which will be upgraded and expanded to include additional dynamically-tolled free-flow express lanes in each direction between McGinnis Ferry Road in Fulton County and McFarland Parkway in Forsyth County. The Project will also encompass the upgrade of several key bridges along the route, including those at Pitts Road, Roberts Drive, and Kimball Bridge. This is the first project GDOT has entered into with a private sector partner for a long-term DBFOM partnership.
The Project has been designed with the goal of improving accessibility and enhancing travel time reliability for the public, while ensuring safety and minimizing construction impacts to the environment and the local community. SR400 Peach Partners have developed multiple alternative technical concepts to improve design and efficiency, to integrate the expansion of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) transit system, and to improve the user experience. Construction has been scheduled to minimize disruption to current traffic patterns. An innovative proprietary solution from team member Indra USA, based on advanced radar technology and traffic predictive modeling, will provide a higher level of safety, reliability, and service during operations. In addition, SR400 Peach Partners will implement an inclusive and comprehensive program to contribute to local economic growth and small business success.
